Nursery
In Nursery and Reception, we offer stimulating and creative indoor classrooms, alongside bespoke outside play areas, where we foster curiosity and independence through meaningful experiences. To enhance this wonderful provision our youngest children also have weekly forest school, swimming and PE lessons which includes Tennis Tots, as well as Music, Spanish and summer term beach school. Early years is a place where children fall in love with learning and discover the excitements of the world around them. Our Nursery is delighted to welcome children from ages 2 year olds to 4 year old during term time.

In the Junior School, every child is valued and respected as part of our family at St John’s. We provide a breadth of opportunities for our children to thrive, to give them the knowledge, skills and understanding to be successful; whilst nurturing and instilling crucial attributes such as resilience, empathy and kindness. Our caring and dedicated teachers tailor each child’s learning to match their individual targets and their personal goals whilst at the same time celebrating their successes. Combined with high academic standards, this means that our children are fully prepared for the next step in their education.

St John’s provides a home away from home for boarders joining us from around the world. The boarding team takes great pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment where students settle quickly after a short time. Students can join one of our term-long short courses or join as year-long students; working towards obtaining GCSE qualifications.
Regardless of the duration of study, St John’s provides international students with a fully immersive experience within the British education system; one which combines classroom learning with a broad activity schedule beyond the school day. Weekend trips to major cities such as London, Cardiff, Bath and Bristol ensure students return home having experienced plenty of what Britain has to offer.
