MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

St John’s School is an independent day and boarding school  for boys and girls aged 2 -16, located on a hill overlooking the sea in the beautiful Regency town of Sidmouth. We are a relatively small school that caters for around 200 local day students combined with a 50 strong contingent of international boarders from more than 10 countries around the globe.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with good general maintenance skills, ideally some Health & Safety knowledge, and a can do attitude to join our maintenance team.  Hours are full time with occasional weekend work,  we pay national living wage.

TEACHING ASSISTANT KEY STAGE 3

St. John’s  School  require an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Teaching Assistant to support  our teachers within the  senior school.

St John’s  School is an independent day and boarding school  for boys and girls aged 2 -18, located on a hill overlooking the sea in the beautiful Regency town of Sidmouth. Academic expectations are high, but we also believe that our students’ ability to communicate successfully, to consider the needs of others and to show drive and initiative are all attributes that will help them achieve success at university and make a significant contribution to society in later life.

  • have experience working with 10 – 18 year olds
  • have good administration and ICT skills
  • be reliable, happy to work on own and be flexible
  • be an effective team player and value every aspect of the life of the school
  • have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire students and staff

BOARDING STAFF

We welcome applications from team players to join our Boarding Houses who will undertake a variety of roles to support our Boarding Housemaster. We would welcome applications in particular from candidates who could combine  subject teaching with boarding duties.

Applications from NQT colleagues as well as more experienced teachers are welcome for both full and part-time positions.
