Mrs Caroline Ward

Deputy Head (Academic)

 

Caroline Ward – BSc (Hons) Life Sciences – Leicester University, PGCE (Science with A level Biology) – Kingston University. After leaving school she completed a two-year Management-Trainee scheme with the John Lewis Partnership before starting university. Her first teaching post was as an A-level Biology tutor and House Mistress for an International College in Quebec, Canada, where she also learnt to snowboard. On her return to London she then embarked on a 10-year career in IT. This included a year with Mckinsey & Company Management Consultants as a training consultant and 8 years with Michcon de Reya Solicitors as a Systems Development and Training Manager. After the birth of her first child, she returned to teaching as Head of IT and Sixth form tutor at Farrington’s School, Chislehurst.  Caroline joined SJIS in 2009 and has held the positions of KS4 Coordinator, Head of Science and Head of Sixth Form before being appointed Deputy Head and Head of Studies in 2015. She has a passion for Spanish culture and music and has dreams of travelling around South America.
